Do you have the right license required in your state to do loan modifications?
Many of the States Out There Have Laws Restricting What We Can Do With Our Loan Modification Company.
In some cases, we need special licensing as a real estate broker or mortgage broker. In other cases we must follow rules that apply to "foreclosure consultants" or "distressed property consultants".
Also, almost all of the states now restrict you on advance fees. In Califonia for example, no one can charge advance fees for loan modifications, not even attorneys (new law went into effect on October 1, 2009).
Also, in many states we are restricted on the collection of advance fees.
